How is a niche opportunity score calculated?
Three signals, pulled from autocomplete and niche benchmark data. Demand is how many searches exist for topics in the category. Competition is upload density against the average views of the top videos, so a lower number means a smaller channel can still break through. CPM tier is what advertisers pay per thousand views there. High demand plus low saturation scores highest, and anything over 120 is a wide open door.
Which niches score highest right now?
Personal finance for beginners, AI tools and tutorials, home improvement, and the narrower fitness categories tend to sit near the top. They pay well and they are less crowded than gaming or entertainment. Scores move week to week though. Something rated Very High today can slip to High inside a fortnight if a lot of creators pile in, so it is worth checking back.
Should I pick the highest-scoring niche?
Not necessarily. The one worth picking is where a high score overlaps with something you actually know. A Very High rating tells you demand exists and there is room to grow, but what keeps people watching is depth. The score shows you where the door is open. It cannot tell you whether you can walk through it.
